Some anecdotes

This past weekend was mom and dad's last full weekend with us. Lee Meng is already in Singapore visiting her dad. We didn't do much except for some shopping. Mom created a stir when she left the watch she bought for Ah Hin behind at the store, after hunting for so long and deliberating even longer over the price. Luckily, she took dad's and my urging and got one at Kohl's on Sunday afternoon. Then just before dinnertime, it struck her that she had left the bag behind at Kohl's. Panic ensued, and I went back to Kohl's to look for it. Fortunately, it had been picked up by an honest passer-by and left at the customer service desk. Phew.

While I'm on stories about mom, there was a funny incident a few weeks ago when we were at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. After a nice company-sponsored lunch and some rides, I went to the restroom with Clarence. About two minutes later, as I turned around from the urinals, I saw MOM in the restroom walking towards the stalls right past all these guys standing at the urinals. It didn't seem that she had noticed anything amiss!!
I must have said something like: Mom!! This is the MEN'S restroom!! At that point, she looked very surprised, turned tail and hurried out. Ha ha. Apparently, she was following this man with her young daughter and she somehow assumed they were headed for the ladies' restroom. Whatever it was, it certainly was a memorable moment :-)

Ha ha. That is pretty funny! Mom can sure be pretty "blur" sometimes.

I'm glad the watch was found.
