Off to the sunny Gold Coast

This was a photo taken during our convention a few weeks ago. That's me and Alice. Alice is 68, she plays the piano for our congregation meetings and she's pretty sharp and healthy for her age. She's a truly wonderful person - kind, gentle, and caring.

Well, it's been a long week. It FELT like a long week, anyway. But it's finally Friday again!

I leave on Monday for the Gold Coast, and I am getting a little excited. I'll arrive at Brisbane airport around dinnertime on Monday, and catch a shuttle to my Gold Coast hotel. I'll be busy at the conference on Tuesday and Wednesday. And then my little holiday will begin on Thursday with a visit to Seaworld. I can't wait to see Hudson and Nelson the polar bears again! The last time I saw them they were about 2 years old - although they looked pretty big already. They'll be about 3 and a half years old now. Considered to be adult bears. Well, young adult, anyway.

I'll try not to lose my head and come out of Seaworld with an armload of polar bear souvenirs like I did last time!

I'll be back home the following Sunday (Sept 16th) afternoon.
